"New Iconographies and Questions of Tradition in Mongolian Contemporary Art"
Uranchimeg Tsultem is a specialist in the art of Mongolia and Tibet. She worked extensively on the modern art of Mongolia prior to her present Ph.D. studies at the University of California, Berkeley. As an assistant professor at the Mongolian University of Arts and Culture (1995-2002), she curated Mongolian art exhibitions in Tsukuba, Japan (1997), New York (2000), and Bonn, Germany (2001), among others, and published on Mongolian modern art.
